How to jump from making a $100K a year, to making $1M a year in my business?

I own a small business, currently bringing in around 100K; how do i make the jump from 100K to a million? and from 1 million to 100 million? what do big corporations do when they just getting started (before they turn into big corporations), i know most of them raise capital from investors, but i don't want to bring partners in... what do you think?
