Is there no such thing as a truly 'selfless' act?

There is definitely a good argument against there being a selfless act. But it takes brains to understand. I'll give you a quote from Nietzsche from Daybreak. "How could the ego act without the ego." It means everything you choose to do, YOU choose to do it. You choose to do it because YOU want to. Doing a truly selfless act is impossible. Imagine any selfless act you can think of. You would do that act because YOU want to. Therefore its not truly selfless.
