If i open a bank account with someone does their credit effect mines?

I have been in the business of buying and reselling cars but am moving my business partner handles most of the cars and parts repairs ect, i deal with finances,finding clients ect but now am moving so getting money to him will be quite hard as i will be an hour away this has been an unofficial business thus far just trowing our money together to make things work i trust him and i think a bank account with both our names on it would work only thing is he has really bad credit i have great credit and need to keep it that way (real estate investor) will opening a checking account with him effect my credit?
