Kidney Failure... Please answer?

It is sweet of you to protect your parents from the emotional pain. Hospice is usually very good about consoling family and answering questions. It would probably be beneficial for the two of you to talk with his oncologist and ask him/her for the best way for you and your Mother to keep up with his progress. Ask the doctor if the Hospice nurse can answer your questions or should you talk with him on a weekly basis? Everyone grieves at a different pace and in a different way. Hospice has some counseling and group meetings that are helpful. Hospice also has chaplains available to talk with. Use all the resources you can find.
