American poverty? Reason American kids are going hungry?

Hunger has nothing to do with real estate investors. The investors sold for what the market was worth at that point... it was up to the buyers to insure that the home was solid and affordable for them. Having their homes foreclosed did not cause hunger... hunger was caused by lack of income, or expenses being too high in other areas. It is a shame that kids go hungry in America, but it happens every day. Some parents don't want to apply for food stamps, and some don't qualify income-wise... but other expenses are still too high to afford three meals daily. It is true that some people have children without thinking about the expense, but it's also true that many have come across poverty through job loss or injury that has left them unable to work -- it's not all about people who didn't think about the cost of children (as others imply at times).
